How we developed bespoke product collections for Noblewood Group, from the snow above St. Moritz to the Adriatic coast
Noblewood Group asked Loopper to develop merchandise for the campaigns around two brands from the portfolio. The Beluga event in St. Moritz, the Beluga Signature bartender programme, the Gold Line built on the sturgeon emblem, and a summer collection for Oyster Adriatic Gin. Every piece was produced from scratch for these campaigns.
The brief behind the collections
The projects had to belong to the same house of brands without looking like each other. Each collection has its own setting, the snow above St. Moritz, the metal of the Gold Line, the light on the Adriatic. Nothing came out of a catalogue.
The route was the same throughout. Every item was first shown as a free digital mockup, so Noblewood could see the artwork in context before deciding anything. Samples of the enamel and the metal pieces followed, which is how the gold plating and the colour depth were judged in the hand instead of on a screen. Nothing went into production before that was approved.
What Loopper delivered
Loopper took care of the free digital mockups, the samples, the production of every item and the delivery of each collection. Colours were matched against the brand palettes of Beluga Vodka and Oyster Adriatic Gin before anything was released for production.
The Noblewood team saw every item twice before the full run, once as a digital mockup and once as a physical sample. That is where work like this is won, because a colour that looks right on a screen can arrive on metal as something else.
Beluga Noble Winter cups
The alpine artwork runs all the way around the cup, in the blue of the brand with gold through the pattern. The wordmark sits in the open centre band, where it stays readable while a guest is holding it.
Signature cards with cocktail pins
Each card carries the Beluga Signature artwork and holds an enamel pin shaped like the drink itself. The Noble Expresso card prints the full build of the cocktail, so one piece works as a recipe and as something a bartender keeps.
Engraved Beluga pens
Brushed steel with polished gold fittings, carrying the Beluga wordmark as an engraving instead of a print. It stays on the pen for the life of the product and takes the same finish as the trim.
Enamel badges with the sturgeon
A gold rim, a gold-plated sturgeon and a black wave field, produced in five colourways that run from white and light blue through deep blue, burgundy and gold.
Gold cocktail picks
The same emblem on a long gold pick, raised against five enamel colours. The stem clears a tall glass, so the medallion sits above the rim while the drink is handed over.
Oyster shell stirrers
Stainless steel with the top cut into the shape of an oyster shell and the name engraved in the metal. Shaped rather than printed, so it reads as the brand from across a table.
Gin Adriatic bottle pin
The gin bottle redrawn as a soft enamel pin in the pale blue of the original, on a printed teal card that repeats the typography of the label.
Wild Citrus bottle pin
The second pin carries the white bottle of the Wild Citrus expression, on a card with the yellow disc of the label behind it. Same shape, other colourway, which is what makes people want both.
